Sarah Yarborough attended the College of Design at NC State University, studying graphic design and art & design with a focus on fibers and textiles. After learning the history and techniques of traditional jeans making through informal apprenticeships with factory workers, patternmakers, and mechanics throughout the state, Sarah and her husband, Victor Lytvinenko, started Raleigh Denim in 2008 and were accepted into the Council of Fashion Designers of America in 2013. On a mission to practice and promote super-good american-made design and manufacturing, Raleigh Denim produces exclusively in the United States, and has collaborated with companies including Bernhardt Designs, Kate Spade and Patagonia.
