Born and raised in Eastern North Carolina, in the small town of Elizabeth City, Ronald grew up with the sound of the oceans waves, crickets and bullfrogs singing to the setting of the sun, and cicada blaring on a country summer day. His passion for the outdoors was instilled in him at a very young age; road-tripping across the state and along the east coast of the country with his family. As Ronald developed, he grew to appreciate business; becoming involved with FBLA for 8 years. After graduating high school, he attended, NCA&TSU, in Greensboro, NC, to pick up the study of business management. In his junior year, Ronald received a deep calling to the child inside of him. Thus, he took an internship with Wilderness Inquiry and moved to Minneapolis where he received his start in the outdoor industry. Ronald is, and will continue to be a huge advocate for accessible adventures, in regards to people with disabilities and undeserved populations. While at Wilderness Inquiry, Ronald also became a constant face on their innovative Canoemobile program which led him to be invited to APPL's B2T Program, and to be apart of C&NN's Natural Leaders Program. Spring of 2015, Ronald received the opportunity to lead a 21-Day Wilderness Expedition for a diverse group of Summer Search students as a Youth LEAD Program Instructor for ETC, so he said farewell to Minnesota, and moved to the Bay. After a gap year from school that lasted 3 years, Ronald's new found experience instilled within him a vision and willingness to complete his education. After the 21-Day Expedition, he re-enrolled at NCA&TSU and moved back to North Carolina. He currently resides in Chapel Hill, NC pursuing International Business, with a minor in Entrepreneurship.
