Wade is a native of New York and grew up in North Carolina. He is a graduate of Jordan High School (2004) and majored in Mass Communication at North Carolina Central University. Banner began his professional career as a rapper/actor, and later took his production skills acquired from his work at Atlantic Records to begin working at the NCCU campus radio station as an on-air personality.
Currently, Banner is the mix show DJ for the Drive at 5 on Radio One of Raleigh’s WQOK FM K97.5 weekdays (M-F) from 5pm-6pm. His show can be heard throughout the central parts of North Carolina to Southern Virginia and has been consistently ranked number one in the 12+, 18-34, and 25-54 demos.
Aside from his work at K97.5, Wade Banner also has earned awards and held the title “DJ of the Year” from the Carolina Music Awards for 2 years in a row. As an entrepreneur, Banner is the founder and CEO of Young Mogul Entertainment. His company provides advertising, artist development/management, event planning, marketing, and promotions. He has managed hip-hop artist such as Team T.O.K.Y.O, Nat Lotto and worked with other major music artist and sports celebrities including Waka Flocka, Travis Porter, Mims, Josh Powell (Atlanta Hawks), and Willie Parker (Pittsburgh Steelers) to name a few."
